TERESA’S BOUDOIR SESSION

“When I first thought about the idea of doing a boudoir session, I had no real idea what to expect. Shannon walked me through step by step, from answering all my questions/concerns, to the thorough wardrobe shopping and planning, and helpful recommendations for planning for the session date. The session itself was amazing! Shannon greeted me and introduced me to her team and off I went to being pampered by her staff for hair and make up. All the while, Shannon was walking me through tips for how to smile and pose to get the absolute best results on camera.” -Teresa

Teresa is one of those women who focus on their flaws, and she wanted to do a boudoir session to help her see herself in a new perspective, and because I do unedited reveals, she got to see herself straight out of the camera… and she was amazed at how beautiful she is! Below is her portion of the client interview about her experience—take a moment to read over things, and then contact me to discuss how you want to be photographed.

Would you consider yourself a women who is very critical of herself in photographs? If yes, why are these portraits different from photographs in the past?

I would absolutely consider myself very critical of myself in photos. I am the one who typically avoids pictures altogether or hides behind everyone in group shots. I’m hoping I can take away some of the poses and tips I learned from Shannon to feel more confident in front of the camera.

Before this experience, did you feel you were photogenic? If no, do you feel you are photogenic now?

I have never felt that I was overly “photogenic.” I rarely enjoy seeing myself in photos. I will likely never look as fabulous as I did during the session, but knowing now how lighting and posing can so *dramatically* change the results, I can now stop avoiding the camera!

Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images?

I was mostly surprised how Shannon and her team made me feel absolutely comfortable during the session. Lots of laughs and fun!

Would you recommend a boudoir photo shoot with Shannon Hemauer Photography to your friends? Why or why not?

I would absolutely recommend a photo shoot with Shannon. The entire experience was both fun and empowering.
