Sharon approached me about shooting a contemporary glamour portrait session with her grown daughter, Emily, because she thought (correctly) it would be something fun to do together.
Sharon and Emily are such an adorable mother/daughter combo, and I don’t mean just looks, but in spirit. They share an amazing bond with each other—probably safe to say they see each other as their best friend.
Both had a lot of fun planning the session—they were so quick to laugh during all of the consults! (I seem to attract quick-to-laugh clients! 🙂 )
Sharon usually wears her hair straight, but wanted to try some curls to her style—she is now thinking she needs to own a curling iron.
I seriously love the image below, with the sheer curtains blowing around Emily.
Is this something you’d like to do with your own daughter(s)? (Don’t worry if you have sons—they can come play, too!)
A big thank you to Nath Mao for bringing her mad skills in hair/makeup to the session.

In the before, Mother – Daughter. In the after Sisters? Wow both look like Pro Models when all is said and done. Nath is a powerhouse and your posing, lighting and directions are icing on the very pretty cupcakes they turn out to be. Awesome photo shoot.
It is always such a delight to see your next photo shoot. The shots you take bring out the best in your models. These two ladies are gorgeous…bet they have a hard time deciding which photos to purchase. Great work Shannon!
