Cheryl brought a Audrey-Hepburn-meets-Liza-Minnelli vibe to the studio for her session. She had recently gone with a pixie-haircut, and I really think the style looks great on her. And, like many clients before her, even though she did a boudoir session, she asked me to keep those private and just share the contemporary glamour portion of her session, which you’ll see below mixed throughout her client interview below.

How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? It was more of a spur-of-the-moment decision after seeing her page on Facebook. Someone I had worked with had her photos done and I thought what the hell?
What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? Saw her work on Facebook and instantly felt comfortable with her in the initial communications
What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? It all was a great experience, but the session was my favorite.
Did you leave your session worried about your hair/makeup (Maybe you thought the makeup was too dark or your hair didn’t look like you.)? The makeup was definitely dark but I wasn’t “worried” about it.
What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? Wow I have a great shape and I AM pretty!
If you had been worried about the hair/makeup/posing, did you like what you saw in your portraits? I wasn’t worried and loved all the images.
How did shooting this session with Shannon Hemauer change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident? I’m already a fairly confident person. I think I have a great personality, but never saw myself as “pretty.” I never thought I was ugly, just ordinary.
Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images? No.
Why should other women do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session with Shannon Hemauer Photography? Because it’s fun! Everyone should be able to feel pretty.
