Thank you for being interested in my fine-art ballet boudoir project!
Before moving forward, I want to take a moment and introduce myself: I’m Shannon—I’m a wife, mother, and active duty United States Air Force veteran who has been shooting exclusively boudoir and contemporary glamour portrait photography since 2014.
I love what I do—I love the amazing women I have the privilege of shooting, I love the artistic work that goes into each session (every woman brings her own ‘vibe’ to the studio!), and I love creating stunning portraits for my clients. (I also love proving to women who tell me they aren’t photogenic that they can look fantastic in photographs!)
I know I am doing what my purpose is in life, which is to empower women by using my camera, and I am humbled everyday that I am so blessed to call my passion my career.
So why do I want to photograph a boudoir session specifically with a pointe ballerina? Because ballet dancers know how to move gracefully, are flexible, and take posing directions well. Sometimes a photographer needs to do something that feeds her soul, and this concept has been giving me hunger pains for well over a year.
What am I envisioning for this session? I’m thinking fine art: classic, perhaps wearing sheer items, flowy material. A combination of classic boudoir posing interwind with a ballet feel. We’ll discuss my vision in detail if you’re selected for my project.
The following is required to be a contender for this model call:
- You must be a female between 25-35 years old
- You must be able to stand on pointe, including standing/moving without assistance
- You must sign a model release authorizing me permission to use all images for marketing
- You must be comfortable wearing sheer material for the session
- You must own pointe ballet slippers in good condition
- You must be able to shoot on either January 6th or January 13th, arriving at 9:30 AM to my downtown Carlisle, PA stuido
- You must submit a fully clothed, 3/4 image of yourself by December 10, 2019
If selected for the project, in return for your time, you’ll receive complimentarily:
- 60-minute boudoir session
- professional hair/makeup (with false lashes)
- one low-resolution digital image
- a $150.00 print credit to use toward any product purchase (However, you are NOT required to purchase anything from your session.)
FAQ
Will I get to see the images from the session?
Yes! We’ll schedule a virtual image reveal appointment 2-3 weeks after your session. I’ll share my desktop with you and show you the fully edited images I selected to use for marketing. You will be able to select your complimentary image then.
What if I want to purchase something à la carte or a collection?
You are NOT obligated to purchase any images from the session; however; if you decide you’d like to purchase one, some, or all, that is up to you. If you decide to make a purchase, you will receive a one-time $150.00 print credit to use towards any product as another thank you for your time. A la carte images start at $375.00, and print collections begin at $1,500.00.
