She told me, “I do struggle with low self-confidence and I’m currently losing weight–from February 2021 till now, I’ve lost 43 lbs on my own. I’m doing these photos for my boyfriend’s birthday, but also for myself—I’ve always wanted to do photos like this.” Take a moment to read over Angel’s client interview, and then contact me to discuss how you want to be photographed. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir session? For three years. What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your photo shoot? Shannon was very helpful and explained everything [during the initial phone consult] and made me feel comfortable. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the image reveal? My favorite part was the having my hair and makeup done and have my photos taken. Did you leave your photo shoot worried about your hair/makeup (Maybe you thought the makeup was too dark or your hair didn’t look like you.)? No! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup! Did you leave your boudoir experience worried that the posing felt awkward? No, because Shannon made me feel confident and comfortable. What were you more nervous about—the session or the image reveal? The session. Did you arrive to the image reveal worried if you’d like your images? Yes, kind of nervous. What did you think

When I was first looking to do a boudoir session, I was nervous and very unsure, but Shannon made it so easy and any concerns that I had, I could contact her and she would answer promptly. Shannon shares educational material, creates a private Pinterest board for ideas, and gives feedback. She also does a wardrobe consult so you can address things before the session. Session day was so much fun! She coaches you with every move and will make sure you are OK. Shannon really does make the process easy and if you have any doubt, she will address them. She also has a private group on Facebook for her clients and everyone there is wonderful. So if you’re considering doing a shoot with Shannon, I highly recommend her 10x over!” –Maria Maria works for a major financial corporation where she specializes in fraud & dispute cases, she’s engaged to be married later this month, and she and her husband-to-be are parents to two fur babies who are rescues. When I asked Maria if she’s struggled with her weight over the years, she responded, “Weight has honestly been a struggle for me. Even though people say I don’t look heavy, I feel heavy, especially around my stomach and butt. It’s something I’ve always been self-conscious about. I guess it would also fall into low self-esteem as I most times will not feel beautiful or pretty.” Well, it’s my goal with each session is to show my clients how stunning they are regardless of their weight, pant size, bra size, or any other part of our bodies we love to put a number on. Noel’s Boudoir Session [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] When I finally decided to move forward with doing a boudoir session, I did a lot of research of photographers in the area, and just kept coming back to Shannon’s photo gallery. Every photo was classy and beautiful. I knew she was the photographer for me. All the prep work she does to get you ready for your session is phenomenal. Her advice on wardrobe choices was extremely helpful and definitely appreciated. I was so nervous on the day of my session, but as soon as I walked into her studio, all my anxieties disappeared. Shannon and her team made me feel very comfortable from start to finish. On the day of my reveal, I don’t know if I was more nervous or excited, but I was definitely both. When I saw my first photo, I was stunned. It was beautiful! I had trouble picking my favorites, so I upgraded my package so I wouldn’t have to choose. I can’t say enough about Shannon and her team.
