Below you’ll find a few images from Angelica’s 2019 session, sprinkled through her testimonial. I’d been contemplating doing a boudoir session for about 2-3 years. I spoke with several photographers who offer boudoir, but never felt a connection with them. When I spoke with Shannon, I felt a connection with her right away and I agreed to do the session. Shannon walked me through every step of the way, creating a Pinterest inspiration board, discussing outfits before the session, and constant email updates. Even up to the day of my session I wanted to back out, but when I arrived to the studio, Shannon walked me through everything and made my nervousness disappear. NO words can truly described the amazing time I had that day in the studio and seeing the outcome. Want to do a boudoir session but don’t because afraid to? If you are interested in booking a session, I’d like to explain how I’m handling everything on my end during the social distancing: I’m following the CDC/State of PA’s guidelines that non-essential businesses’ physical locations be closed at the current time. With that said, I am still doing phone consults—this is where we’ll discuss in detail what you can expect/flow of session/pricing & product/you can ask questions. All of the planning for a boudoir session (initial phone consult, Pinterest inspiration board, wardrobe consult) is done online. So while the session itself may need to wait, the planning portion can be done smoothly. I’m booking sessions for June, July, August, and September 2020. I love-love-love posing women. I love teaching a woman who normally has a double chin in photographs how to diminish (and many times completely eliminate!) it. I love showing a woman how to define a waistline and enhance curves. And Kristen is an excellent example of these techniques. (I made sure to show her the back of the camera several times so she could see her non-edited images.) Below is Kristen’s pre-session interview—I wanted to know a bit more about her and her ‘why’ behind the boudoir session. Tell me a bit about your life. For example: Married? Single? What do you do for a living? Dogs? Kids? Hello! I’m Kristen! I am a bank manager—I’ve been in banking since right out of high school. I am married with two amazing daughters and one adorable granddaughter. I am a huge animal lover! Currently I have 2 dogs and 3 cats. Since both of my kids are grown and out of the house, our pets have become our fur kids. Now, tell me a bit about you. For example: What makes you happy? What makes you laugh? Tell me about a time you did something that you were scared to do and you came out on top. Have you had struggles with your weight? Do you struggle with low self-esteem? I absolutely love spending time with my family. It is hard for all of us to get together leading such busy lives and my one daughter living in another state, so when we can be together I cherish it. They make me laugh! I’m grateful
