Ashley is the wife of a fireman who is on the Honor Guard, and when we were planning her session, Ashley asked me if she could work in a fireman axe and her husband’s Honor Guard white gloves…so once again I found myself trying to figure out how to make something unsexy look sexy. And once again I think I pulled that off! Take a look at Ashley’s images that are sprinkled throughout her client interview, and if you like what you see, please contact me today to schedule your complimentary phone consult. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I had been thinking of booking a session for a year or so but only passively. I really started considering booking a session in the spring when the idea popped into my head that it would make a great birthday gift [for her husband]! What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? Looking at the online pictures of past clients as well as their testimonies made it an easy decision. Everyone said they felt super comfortable, that the process was fun, and their before and after pictures were amazing! What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? I really liked feeling pampered! Nath made me feel like a movie star! The focus was all about me and it was great! I walked around all day (and the next!) with a little extra pep in my step! Did you leave your session worried about your hair/makeup (Maybe you thought the makeup was too dark or your hair didn’t look like you.)? Yes! When I looked in the mirror I thought I

Flashback: Connie | Carlisle PA Boudoir Photographer
FLASHBACK: Post originally posted December 7, 2017. Connie wanted to do something special for her man, something that he would never expect her to do… Connie was a spitfire and made the session day so much fun! She was open for anything and had THE most beautiful hair—that’s ALL HER HAIR! No extensions! Not one to wear much (if any) makeup, she really wanted to glam up for her session—I really feel Nath did a great job doing just that while letting Connie still look like herself. Read through her response to my client interview—if you find you relate (or you think it looks like fun), contact me today to schedule your consult. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I had been thinking about boudoir photos for a while. Sometimes its hard to get the same kind of photos with your own phone. Professional is much better way to get selfies like this. If I didn’t do it now, I don’t think I would have done it for a long time. What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? I saw her on Facebook. I was curious and checked out her site. When she contacted me, that’s when I knew I wanted her to do the pictures. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? The whole experience was awesome! Shannon made me feel very comfortable. The reveal may be my favorite part..I really enjoyed seeing the end results of all the awkward positions! Absolutely amazing! What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? I think I could have cried.
Betty: Making Golf Balls Look Good | Hershey PA Boudoir | Shannon Hemauer Photography
Betty is one of those people who just make me giggle when they enter the room. Her smile is infectious and she is so quick to laugh! And you should have seen us laughing when I was trying to figure out how to photograph her with her boyfriend’s golf balls and club! I mean, HOW in the world does one do this for a boudoir session without making the images appear raunchy? Well, just like I’ve done with the donut session, and hunting bow, and other ordinary objects like books and guitars, I was able to make it work! Scroll down to see Betty with some balls in her hand! Also below is Betty’s client interview—take a moment to read through her responses and see if you can relate. If yes, then contact me today to schedule your phone consult. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I have wanted to do a session for about 2-3 years. I was introduced to this type of photography from a show I used to watch, “Married at First Sight,” where a participant did one of these photo sessions and I thought the idea was a very good idea. I did google on this type of photography close to my area at that time and the closest one was in Delaware. I never took it further until I joined FB in May 2018 (Finally—LOO) and happen to see Shannon’s post/advertisement. Then I knew it was a ‘sign’ and something that I needed to act on now. What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? The reviews I read and I also liked the presentation of her marketing.
RIP, Franklin the Yorkie | Shannon Hemauer Photography
Today, instead of writing about a recent client’s session, I just wanted to tell you about my Yorkie, Franklin. I had been in love with this breed for years, and in 2009, after my husband and I purchased our house, this little guy came home with us. He was three years old at that time and quickly became my shadow. He was our fur baby. Franklin was a sweet boy who had his quarks—he’d bark at anyone who sneezed; would go nuts when the phone would ring; loved to eat paper (tissues, toilet paper, construction paper, etc), crayons, and Play-Doh; and licked anything—sweatshirts, the table, the couch, the floor. He would follow me all around the house, always underfoot, but I got really good at knowing where he was (and avoiding stepping on him) by listening for the clinking his dog tags made. This morning I dropped Franklin off at the vet to have hip surgery—about half-an-hour after I dropped him off, the vet called to say his heart stopped as they were in the process of preparing him for surgery. They tried everything they could to save him, but without success. Overall, he was very healthy, so this was unexpected. He would have turned 12 on November 26th. He will be greatly missed, but I’m happy we have almost ten year’s worth of memories of him. Thanks for letting me share. Until next time, Shannon Contact me today to schedule your phone consult!
