Bonnie scheduled her boudoir session to be on her actual birthday, and what a birthday it was for her! What woman doesn’t want to feel glamorous on her special day? Check out the boots in the image below—she borrowed them from her daughter! Bonnie had one request for her session, and that was we do a shot like you see below. She saw a similar image online, sent it to me and asked, ‘Can we do this???’ Um. Yeah! I’d like to point out to the ladies that she is wearing a full pantyhose vs thigh highs. So often we as women think only thigh-highs are sexy, but this outfit would not have looked the same… For her contemporary glamour portion, Bonnie selected a LBD with a very flattering neckline. Who knew a white undershirt could look so fantastic while lounging on a white couch wearing just panties and black boots? A big thank you to my lead stylist, Nath Kreider, and my assistant, Dianna, for doing your thing! If you think this looks like fun (which it is), please contact me today to scheduled your consult—I’d love to hear how you want to be photographed. Deanett | Client Interview | Boudoir | Carlisle PA

Contemporary Glamour | Shannon Hemauer Photography

Deanett was a lot of fun! A former veteran herself, we clicked immediately! I always like to ask my clients the “why” behind the session, and she made it very clear she was doing a boudoir session for herself. Why? Why not?! Below you’ll find her client interview—take a moment to read over her responses, as you may find you can relate! How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one?  A boudoir session isn’t something I had been wanting to do, it wasn’t even something I ever imagined I would do. The boudoir session happened in part for the same reasons: while shopping at [local lingerie boutique] Underneath It All for items needed for a Halloween costume I saw a magazine for Shannon Hemauer Photography. I quickly flipped though it then captured a picture of the cover and said to myself, “I’m going to do this.”   What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session?  I was very impressed with Shannon’s work displayed on the website and posted on social media. She was extremely accommodating when scheduling my consultation. Shannon was very thorough during the consultation. As a veteran, I wanted to support a veteran-owned business. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal?  There wasn’t just one favorite part. During the planning session, the Personal Shopping Experience was amazing. Prior to planning for this session I hadn’t shopped for this type of lingerie before so having Shannon help me pick out the right items made this pretty easy. I was open to trying on anything and going with whatever looked the best. The Session, after Nath did my hair/makeup

Sue | Boudoir | Carlisle PA

Contemporary Glamour and Boudoir Photography Carlisle PA

Sue was up for anything, evening sitting on top of the futon because I had an idea for a pose…which is good because she loved this first image so much she put it on a 16×24 canvas to hang in her bedroom! She loved how happy she looked. <3 I always find it interesting, that as much as I’ve planned out a client’s session and educated her on what to expect, I never know what I’m going to do with posing until we’re in the moment. The posing I do for each client must be organic. But there are some poses that are a staple for me—they are what I call my “classic” poses and flatter just about every woman…and lounging on the futon wearing an evening gown with heels is one of those classic poses! A big thank you to lead stylist, Nath, and to Dianna for assisting. Until next time, Shannon Contact me today to schedule your phone consult! A Bit of Vintage | Carlisle, PA Boudoir Photographer

Vintage-inspired Contemporary Glamour Shannon Hemauer Carlisle PA

Valerie had a really good Christmas this year. Not only did she get her dream car (a surprise from her husband), but she also had a great gift to give to her husband: vintage-inspired boudoir portraits. But this session was almost derailed for Valerie—at work she accidentally sliced the top of her thumb nearly off and needed to get (totally not sexy) stitches. You can see the white bandage in her ‘before’ photo below. Thankfully we were able to remove the bandage during the session and I was able to remove any sign of stitches in post-production. Below is Valerie’s client interview—please take a moment to read over her answers as you may find that  you can relate to how she was feeling. If you do relate, contact me today to schedule your consult…but please don’t wait, as I book up solid for sessions an average of six months in advance. At the moment, my first available session is June 8th. In this post you’ll only see two images from her session—she asked the rest remain private. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I’ve actually never even knew someone like Shannon was out there till my friend [Ashley] told me about her experience. She told me how much she enjoyed the entire process so I thought, ‘Why can’t I do it, too?!!’ I really wanted to give my husband something different for Christmas and thought why not make it a gift for me, too! What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? I never even looked anywhere else. Her work speaks for itself and having my girlfriend rave about her, it was a

Justine had been following me on social media for over a year before she contacted me for a consult in July 2017. She’s celebrating a milestone birthday—I’m honored I was able to help her welcome it in! Below you’ll find her client interview—please take a moment to read through her answers, as you may find you relate! And if you do? Contact me today to schedule your consult! How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? The idea of doing a boudoir photo shoot has intrigued me for years. I’ve known other women who have done them in the past and said to myself, “I’d love to do that someday!” Years later, and after a decade of major life changes, I found myself celebrating how far I have come and enthusiastically anticipating a milestone birthday. I said to myself, “I’m not getting any younger, let’s rock this photoshoot—Happy Birthday to Me!!” What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? I actually stumbled across Shannon’s website (for a second time) by accident. Now, me being someone who believes that nothing happens by coincidence, it was her incredible galleries of portraits that ultimately made me decide, “Yes I’m definitely going to do this.” BUT, after doing some homework and really researching other boudoir photographers in the area, I realized no other photographers could capture the essence and quality that I was looking for! I wanted a combination of sexy, yet classy—her portraits are a perfect combination of both! What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? I loved every part of the experience! The planning was easy for
