Lisa contacted me shortly after I moved into the new Carlisle studio—she wanted to shoot a session in the new space AND she wanted to have a few boudoir pictures taken with her husband! I don’t offer couple’s boudoir to new clients, but for past clients this is an option! This was the third session Lisa and I worked together on—she did her first boudoir session with me in February 2016 and then did a mother/daughter contemporary glamour session in August 2016. What promoted this session you ask? She found a corset that she really liked and thought, ‘Hmmmm…’ Lisa brought fun outfits for this session—one outfit was a white corset with pale pink panties, sort of a “pure & sweet” feeling… While another one was totally opposite of pure & sweet! Below is one of the boudoir images including her hubby. Look at how stunning that dress color looks on her with her red hair! Remember the white corset with the pale pink panty? Well…maybe NOT so pure & sweet. 😉 A big thank you to Nath Mao Kreider for another great job with the client’s hair/makeup. And of course thank you to my assistant, Dianna. Julia | Boudoir Photographer | Hershey, PA
Julia married her long-time boyfriend just this past weekend—November 25th—so I want to start out by saying CONGRATS to her and her new husband! Below you’ll find two images from her bridal boudoir session she gave me permission to openly post (the rest are for “his eyes only”) intertwined with her client interview—take a moment to read through her answers and see if you can relate to her. Like what she has to say? Contact me today to schedule your consult! How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I [got] married on November 25th, so I decided it would be a great wedding gift. Over the past 5 years I have worked a lot on myself both physically and mentally, so I wanted to be able to showcase that transformation to myself and my husband. What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? I heard nothing but excellent reviews from other customers. I also appreciate when a photographer has a speciality, that tends to mean they are pretty good at it! What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? The actual session was so much fun! I almost never wear makeup, so to have someone do my hair and makeup and see the difference was amazing. What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? I look good! Ha Ha How did shooting this session with Shannon Hemauer change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident? I definitely feel more confident about myself. I am relatively introverted, so this opportunity allowed me to break out of my shell a little bit. Before
Valisha: Whoops! | Central PA Boudoir Photographer
Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Valisha contacted me because she wanted a chance to feel reconnected with herself. She’s been through a lot these past few years and needed a reason to smile for herself. But what is the whoops? It was all me! I got to the studio only to realize I left the camera at home! UGH Thankfully Alisha the Assistant was able to swing by my home and grab the camera before heading to the studio. Crisis resolved! Valisha had an awesome boudoir session but only gave me permission to share one of her contemporary glamour portraits from her session. 🙁 But that is truly OK, as I always let my clients decide what images (if any) I can publicly share. 🙂 And I LOVE this image of her in the blue dress! Do you need to reconnect with yourself? Perhaps you’re newly divorced. Or Mommy-all-of-the-time and just need to feel like YOU again? Contact me today to schedule your consult! A big thank you to Nath Kreider for styling Valisha’s hair/makeup! Until next time, Shannon Contact me today to schedule your phone consult! She Just Need a Bit of Faith | Carlisle Boudoir Photographer
I’ll be honest—I was surprised at how well Faith “owned” all of her boudoir outfits. During the planning process, she seemed stressed over her outfits—would they look great on her? Would they represent her vision? We spent a great deal of time discussing her outfits, and all of that planning really paid off because she oozed confidence the morning of her session. So much so that, like I said, I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed she was that morning. I love how sensual this next image is of her, and how intimate the camera “looking around” the sheer curtain makes the image feel. Are you thinking of doing a boudoir session but you’re feeling nervous about the outfits like Faith was? Part of the planning process I do with all of my clients is a wardrobe consult. Not to mention I have a booklet I’ll send you once you book a boudoir session with me that helps you figure out your body shape and offers suggestions on where to shop. You WILL be prepared for your session. Promise! Contact me today to schedule your consult. Thank you to Nath Kreider for doing your thing on Faith’s hair and makeup! Meet René | Boudoir Photographer | Carlisle PA
I’d like to introduce you to René. René writes a blog, “Black Girl, Lost Keys“—what makes her blog unique? Her blog is dedicated to exploring the challenges a person of color with ADHD faces navigating the world. Per her Facebook page, “Mental health is still taboo in our society, but especially within the black community. Black Girl, Lost Keys seeks to bring education and humor to some serious topics, and promote unity for ALL people, regardless of race or mental health diagnosis.” René booked a session with me because she wanted to update her website with a professional photo of herself. With the fun spirit she has, I knew the dress I selected for her had to be fun and bright, too! I hit the nail on the head with this fun pink number! And look how amazing she looks in it! She OWNED that dress that day! I’d also like to point out the Power of Posing strikes again. Do you see how, when compared to the “Before” shot, clothing and especially posing makes a difference in how you look in pictures? René was ALL about taking selfies throughout the morning—I photobombed this one! So I decided we had to have a little bit of fun and incorporate her “taking a selfie” during her session—take a look at the image below and you can see her face on her phone! If you’ve been following me for a bit online or if you’re one of my past clients, then you’ll know I have a “Signature Necklace” that is all bling-bling. I was getting ready to put the necklace on René when I realized she HAD to wear as a hair piece! AH! Look how elegant she is wearing it. <3 Think this looks like fun? We’ll you’re correct! Contact me
