Beauty at Any Age Linda booked me because she wanted to surprise her son with portraits he’ll cherish. Linda had never had her hair or makeup professionally done, so it was a treat for her to get dolled up with the help of a pro. She loved the gold necklace I surprised her with to wear with her dress rental—I told her it was a statement piece! Client Interview: Brittany Brittany has been enjoying the married life to Kyle Moody, of Moody Motor Sports, a local sprint race car driver, these past six months and she finally had a moment to chat with me about her boudoir experience. If you’ll recall, I shot a portion of her session at Kyle’s shop so we could incorporate the sprint car into her photos…and I worked Kyle in as well. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir/contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? My husband (at the time fiancé) had always asked me if I would ever get a session done for him. I told him all the time that he was crazy and I wouldn’t do it. Then, I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and thought it might be fun! So, I decided it would be the perfect, unexpected wedding gift for him! What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir/contemporary glamour session? Once I saw your work, I knew it had to be you. Everything was flawless. I also like working with smaller businesses and I felt that you fit that description. Then, I met you and knew you were the perfect photographer for the job! What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? The session was by far my favorite but, the reveal comes in at a very close second! The session was so fun and upbeat. It made me feel like a model! Client Interview: Angie It’s always fun to find out what a recent client thinks of their experience with the planning/session/reveal. I chatted a bit with the Infiniti of Mechanicsburg’s Ladies’ Night winner, Angie. How long have you been waiting to do a contemporary glamour session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I never thought about it before, I won it! What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your a contemporary glamour session? Because you were the only photographer there giving away a photo shoot. Lol! What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? The Session!!!!! What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? WOW!!!! How did shooting this session with me change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident? It’s hard getting older and I think it fell at a good chapter in my life, I was just coming out of a difficult time and had been pretty depressed. I had just made the decision to lose weight so this was definitely a confidence booster for me and made me feel more worthy. Before this experience, did you feel you were photogenic? If no, do you feel you are photogenic now? I felt more photogenic when I was younger but this definitely changed my opinion. Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images? I was not surprised, I knew it would be fun-it was more fun than I had anticipated though! Why should other women do a contemporary glamour session with me?
