Good to be Back!

Carlisle PA Boudoir Photographer Shannon Hemauer

Good to be Back! I’m back from visiting family for the Christmas holiday! Wonderful to see everyone, but I’m ready to get back to taking photos of beautiful women!! I actually had an impromptu glamour session I did of a dear friend—I’m looking forward to sharing those images, but I have to wait until she sees them first. In the meantime, I wanted to tell you I received this email from Miss E (November 2014), telling me about the first time her hubby saw the album she gave him for Christmas containing her images from her boudoir session: “His first words were, “Get out of heeeeeeere!” Followed by Woooooowww…Beautiful…some more wows…Stunning…I’m speechless…Lol, so yea, he more than loved it and looked at it at least 5 times that day.” And that’s why I do what I do. 🙂 Until next time, Shannon

Client Interview: Miss N Miss N is a very talented makeup artist who has a gift of using makeup to flatter women’s features. For her own session, Miss N used her talents upon herself…and then let me work my own magic. How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I have been waiting for several years to do one but could never find the courage and kept saying that I need to lose a few more pounds. I met Shannon following an end to a long-term relationship and realized now was a better time ever when I was feeling most empowered. What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session? I have worked alongside you and I have been part of the experience, saw your personal interaction and saw the work you’ve has done following the photo shoot. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? My favorite part was the planning and the prepping to the very end at the reveal. It was so exciting to see myself in professional photography format, like a magazine spread! What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? I thought how talented are you to capture me so beautifully. How did shooting this session with me change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident? I am much more confident but more importantly I know how to pose for everyday photos now so that I always look flattering. Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images? Planning and prepping was one of my favorite parts of the service, from email inspirations to creating our own private Pinterest board and then of course the photo shoot itself was eye opening.

Miss S…”S” for Stunning | Boudoir New Cumberland PA

Boudoir photographer Shannon Hemauer, located near New Cumberland, PA, has been specializing in empowering women since 2014.

Miss S…”S” for Stunning Miss S admires my work so much, she drove two hours each way for both her consult and then her session—I don’t know if I could receive a nicer compliment than that. Miss S contacted me because she wanted to do a boudoir session as a one-year wedding anniversary for her husband, and because traditionally the first anniversary’s gift is paper, she figured images printed on quality photographic paper would be perfect. Then, for Christmas she would give those images to her hubby as his gift. During her session she playfully said that she so won in the gift department for Christmas forever. Gee….I wonder if her husband agrees. 😉 And, just for the record, I think both the B&W and color are in the top five of my favorites from this year. She LOVED these thigh highs, so I made sure to get lots of poses in them for her. Yes, you’re welcome Miss S’ hubby. You are welcome. Miss S was game for wearing the 800-yard pink tulle skirt…and she got to wear the awesome jewelry that my niece picked out as a birthday gift to me. She’s ten and has fantastic taste. She told me she saw the necklace/earrings/bracelet and knew I’d love to use these during my sessions. Girlie knows her auntie! Miss S did her own makeup and the fabulous Natalie McKee gave her lovely curls. And as always, thank you to Alisha the Assistant for assisting. <3 Planning an anniversary surprise for your luv-a and think breathtaking images from a glamour or boudoir session with me would be the perfect gift? Holly B: The I BELIEVE Project Winner’s Story

Holly B: The I BELIEVE Project Winner’s Story I must start this blog thanking the businesses who helped me give Holly B this wonderful experience: Sass Salon & Day Spa in Mechanicsburg, PA, gifted a manicure and a sea salt therapy session. Natalie McKee gifted hair styling. Nath Mao gifted makeup application. Nicole Smith of Premier Designs (Use access code NS83) provided jewelry to wear during the session and a $50 gift card to purchase jewelry afterward. I also must thank my wonderful assistant and dear friend, Alisha the Assistant, who just brings a level of fun and happy energy to every session. I sincerely believe these businesses made this a truly blessed day for Holly. 🙂 And to celebrate them, I must post a group photo (minus Sass). And in honor of the upcoming Christmas holiday, I took the liberty to add Santa hats on them. So…on to Holly’s story. Man. This women is amazing. She has such a radiance about herself—I think she’s just realizing how inspiring she is to those who are fortunate enough to cross paths with her—and I’m glad I got to be one of lucky ones. Holly was diagnosed at 34 with breast cancer, which does NOT run in her family, and the only way she found out she had it—and this will give you chills—was during her yearly exam, her nurse was performing the standard breast exam and even though she didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary, this woman just had a feeling Holly needed to have further testing. The medical world tells us 34 is too young to have breast cancer, but something just didn’t sit well with this nurse, so on pure instinct she recommend Holly go get a mammogram. This nurse saved Holly’s life. Holly had no symptoms—nothing felt out of the

Client Interview: Miss E Miss E did her session as a complete surprise to her husband. She is giving her husband the album for a Christmas gift, so I may just have to do a follow-up interview and see what he thought of the best Christmas gift ever. Anyway, until then, I chatted a bit with this sensual woman to see what she thought about her boudoir photo shoot experience with me. How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I had been contemplating about doing a boudoir shoot for about 2 or 3 years, looking on Pinterest and other sites for inspiration. This summer I finally decided to do it and started researching online for local photographers and found Shannon Hemauer Photography. What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session? While browsing through about 3 or 4 local photographer websites, I found that Shannon’s website stuck out the most. From how the site was set up, and to all the information and galleries that were provided helped in my decision to contact Shannon. Also one other thing that stood out for me was the fact that she was the only photographer that concentrated on boudoir and was not like the other sites I had been looking at where the photographers didn’t concentrate on one thing, they also did weddings, families, etc… What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? My favorite part of the experience is a tie between the actual shoot and the reveal. I was definitely taken out of my comfort zone, but in a good way. I went all in and didn’t look back. Shannon made
