Miss Momma, Such a Beauty So I had this hair-brain idea that we should shoot Miss Momma’s maternity session at sunrise so we’d have that golden morning light that looks dreamy surrounding a baby bump. I say hair-brain because this meant we had to START makeup and hair by 6:30 A.M. that morning (sorry Nath, Natalie, and Alisha!), but it was really worth losing my morning to sleep in to capture images like this for this beauty. Miss Momma is expecting her second girl and being extremely crafty, she made the pink necklace she’s wearing. Upon seeing her images, Miss Momma said she couldn’t believe how beautiful she really looks—if you’ve been pregnant you know towards the end of the pregnancy how B.I.G. and unattractive you can feel, and that’s how Miss Momma has been feeling. Client Interview: Miss A This newly engaged brown-eyed beauty took a moment to chat with me about her experience and what she thought seeing her images for the first time. How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I’ve been wanting to do this for my boyfriend, now fiancé’ for about 3 years. Have always put it off until “my hair was longer, or until I lost more weight”….finally just scheduled the session and said the heck with it. I am who I am. What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session? I looked over your website quite a bit. Once I got in contact with you, I felt very comfortable with your reaction to my specific ideas for the shoot. You were just as excited as I was about it! What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? The reveal was definitely my favorite part. I was so nervous throughout the process but once I saw the pictures I realized I had nothing to be nervous about. They turned out great! What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? WOW How did shooting this session with me change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident? It was definitely a boost of confidence. And the more I look at the pictures the better I feel. It’s so easy to look at pictures of yourself and pic out the things that you DON’T like about yourself. With these, it’s hard to find things that I do not like. They all turned out so good! Miss N, OH Miss N

Miss N, OH Miss N Last Friday Miss N viewed her reveal movie and most of her comments can be summed up in two words: “OH. WOW.” Do you agree?? Miss N loves—LOVES—makeup, so I wanted to find a way to bring that into her session. I purchased a really neat 1950’s hand-held mirror from Roselein Rarities’s etsy store and asked Miss N to apply her lipstick while looking into the mirror. Her eyes are not enhanced—that’s how the light from the window reflected off of her eyes into the mirror. What man wouldn’t like to get a phone call from this sensual lady? Notice how you can see the outline of her heels through the sheer curtains. OH, and a shout out to my assistant, Alisha, who created the pillow cases for me. She has a thing for heels… And just because I love the colored version as much as the black & white… Look like fun? Well, you’re right it is! Client Interview: Miss M Miss M—a 36-year-old woman who is a breath of fresh air—took a moment to chat with me about her boudoir experience. How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I have been waiting for several years. Now was the time because I just got married and wanted to share these photos with my new husband. Also, earlier in my life, I didn’t feel ready to do something so revealing. I needed to build up some courage and confidence! What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session? I looked at the websites of several photographers in the Central Pa area. The photos on your website showed women who looked relaxed and confident – and beautiful! It was clear from your website galleries that you were technically proficient and could also make people feel at ease in the process. I also liked that you specifically market to women of all sizes and encourage women to own their beauty no matter what their body shape or size. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? Oh my, that’s a tough question! I think I’d have to say the reveal. It was fun to celebrate the whole process by getting to see the images set to music on a big screen! And I loved having the option to invite my husband along – we both had a blast.
