[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] LISA’S BOUDOIR SESSION While Lisa gave me permission to share some of her boudoir images online, she asked me not to share any personal information about her on the blog, and I of course am respecting this request. I will tell you this much: she did the session for herself. So take a look through her images, and if you like what you see, contact me today to schedule a phone consult so we can discuss how you want to be photographed. KATHLEEN’S BOUDOIR SESSION Kathleen has wanted to do a boudoir session for years and she finally took the leap in late 2021. Take a moment to read over her pre-session and post-session thoughts, as well as look at her images sprinkled throughout her client interview, then contact me to discuss how you want to be photographed. I am recently single, getting out of an almost six-year relationship. My job is at a car dealership as a receptionist, so the work isn’t too exciting. I have two kitties who I love dearly. I love cooking and baking, playing video games, doing yoga, and curling up with a good book. A perfect day to me is relaxing alone at home with my two cats, de-stressing with some calming music and a hot cup of coffee. I have struggled with low self-esteem for a long time, and my weight has contributed to that. I’m hoping this shoot will help me work towards building that up and help me be confident with who I am. -Kathleen PRE-SESSION THOUGHTS The reason I’m doing this session has evolved since I initially decided to do it. I have struggled with depression, low self-esteem, and poor body image my entire life. At my largest, I was just shy of weighing 300 pounds. It was impossible for me to look in the mirror and not see some sort of flaw with myself. After doing some research, a boudoir shoot seemed like an amazing way to help me learn to love myself. Over the course of 2021, I started working out by doing yoga. It’s a wonderful, low impact, and low stress way of working out that has really worked for me. I’ve lost almost 50 pounds! While I see this shoot as a way towards gaining self confidence, it
PA Boudoir Studio | Amanda’s Session | Shannon Hemauer Photography
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]”Originally, this session was for my fiancé. I am a travel nurse, so most of [2020], I was on the other side of the country in California and then up in Connecticut working long hours in the ICU. I thought [a boudoir session] would be a great gift for him after enduring a year separated. However, the more I think about it, the more it is also for me. I have been working in the front lines of the pandemic for the [almost two years] that this has been going on. For most part of the year, I have only seen my eyes and even that was difficult at times. Everything else has been covered in personal protective equipment of gowns, gloves, shoe covers, scrub caps, N95, and face shield. I thought it was time to appreciate myself and do something for myself after all this hard work I’ve done.” -Amanda Amanda, as stated above, is an ICU nurse, and has been go-go-go for all of 2020 and most of 2021. She finally had a moment to relax when we shot her session in October 2021… Below you’ll find her client interview with me—take a moment to read over her answers and look at her images, and then contact me today to discuss how you want to be photographed. How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir session? Probably about a year or two. What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your photo shoot? There were so many positive reviews. Her studio wasn’t far from my home, and she was so attentive during the process. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the image reveal? I think the actual session was my favorite part
PA Boudoir Studio | Kelly’s Session | Shannon Hemauer Photography
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Kelly is truly a blushing bride! She just seems to glow when she speaks about her fiancé and their upcoming wedding. When I got engaged, I knew I wanted to gift my fiancé with a bridal boudoir gift. I also knew I wanted to get some more intimate shots with my wardrobe that I will only ever wear one time. My gown, veil, shoes, garter and ever my bridal robe all played a part in creating the perfect look for my shoot. When planning, I expressed this to Shannon and she went with all of my crazy ideas and was sure to incorporate all of my favorite wardrobe pieces. PA Boudoir Studio | Telma’s Session | Shannon Hemauer Photography
I always wanted to have a boudoir session done but never thought that I was good enough when it came to looks, so I kept postponing the opportunity. Since the minute that Shannon got in touch with me, before meeting her in person, she was amazing giving me the sense of confidence that I needed. When I arrived to the studio, the energy was great. She and her team were very welcoming. They really took the time to make me feel supported. For me, this was part of a healing process and I am grateful for Shannon and her team. To know that I had with me a talented team of women helping to achieve something that was “more than pictures”—it is priceless. Once the session started to roll, it was so much fun. It was so much fun that I didn’t had the time to worry about the outcome. Shannon definitely knows what she is doing but most importantly, she is passionate about it and the confidence that she has, she shares with you during the session. I’m really looking forward to my second session. -Telma [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Telma’s session was originally scheduled for July 2020, but because of COVID-19 lockdown/slow reopenings, we rescheduled to March 2021, but then she had to reschedule that date to early July 2021… and then she had to reschedule to late July 2021… but then something came up for me so we had to reschedule again… and finally shot her session in November 2021! And I think it was worth the wait! I am thrilled with how her images came out.
