Boudoir Client Interview

Every once in a while I’ll have a client request that I do not share any of their images because they wish to remain private. Always a bummer because I want to share the images, but I understand and always allow every client to decide the level of sharing for their images.

BUT! I still wanted to share with you Miss S’ thoughts on the experience with shooting with me…I’ve sprinkled a few of my favorite boudoir images over the past year throughout the interview.

How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one?
I have wanted to do a boudoir session for about a year. I decided now was the time to do one, because my husband and I were approaching our 3rd wedding anniversary. I also thought it would be a good confidence booster and I was in need of a “pick me up.”

What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session?
I loved your photographs. Once I video conferenced with you, I felt totally comfortable. You made me feel like one of your old friends—whether it was video conference or emails. You were so prompt at answering my MANY questions.

What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal?
My favorite part was definitely the session. It was fun from beginning to end. I enjoyed visiting with everyone during the session—make-up artist and assistant included.

What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself?
I honestly didn’t recognize it as myself!

How did shooting this session with me change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident?
It made me feel stronger as a woman. I don’t know that I’m more confident, but I feel empowered through the experience!

Before this experience, did you feel you were photogenic? If no, do you feel you are photogenic now?
I’ve always enjoyed being in pictures, but normally don’t like myself in many pictures. I am my biggest critic. I feel like I’ve learned some new posing tricks.

Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images?
The build up to the appointment was great fun. I felt giddy thinking about what I would wear, how my images would look, pinning new images to my Pinterest board, and mostly how my husband would react to seeing them after they were completed!

Why should other women do a boudoir session with me?
Shannon was great to work with. She is beautiful, fun, talented, and a pro at what she does. Detail is important to her and it is evident through working with her both for the session and prior to the session. She was always super prompt at responding to my questions and messages. Most importantly, Shannon made me feel comfortable through the entire experience. I never felt nervous and felt as if I was in the presence of a great friend. Her excitement was contagious and her images are stunning.
