Client Interview: Miss A

This newly engaged brown-eyed beauty took a moment to chat with me about her experience and what she thought seeing her images for the first time.

How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one?
I’ve been wanting to do this for my boyfriend, now fiancé’ for about 3 years. Have always put it off until “my hair was longer, or until I lost more weight”….finally just scheduled the session and said the heck with it. I am who I am.

What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session?
I looked over your website quite a bit. Once I got in contact with you, I felt very comfortable with your reaction to my specific ideas for the shoot. You were just as excited as I was about it!

What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal?
The reveal was definitely my favorite part. I was so nervous throughout the process but once I saw the pictures I realized I had nothing to be nervous about. They turned out great!

What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself?
WOW

 

How did shooting this session with me change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident?
It was definitely a boost of confidence. And the more I look at the pictures the better I feel. It’s so easy to look at pictures of yourself and pic out the things that you DON’T like about yourself. With these, it’s hard to find things that I do not like. They all turned out so good!

Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images?
I was.   I may have been nervous, but only because I’m a bit camera shy and never thought of myself as photogenic. Seeing the images changed my way of thinking about that. Shannon, Alisha (assistant), Nath (makeup) and Natalie (hair) made me feel very comfortable about shooting a boudoir session.

Why should other women do a boudoir session with me?
Shannon is wonderful at what she does both with the photography and just the personal relationship she develops with her clients. She knows how to talk to you, to calm your nerves and to make you feel confident throughout the whole process. There were numerous between the time I scheduled the session and the actual date of my session that I thought of backing out…but Shannon talked me through the process. My images exceeded my expectations and I’m so glad that I did it. I got the extra boost of confidence that I needed!
