Miss M—a 36-year-old woman who is a breath of fresh air—took a moment to chat with me about her boudoir experience.
How long have you been waiting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? I have been waiting for several years. Now was the time because I just got married and wanted to share these photos with my new husband. Also, earlier in my life, I didn’t feel ready to do something so revealing. I needed to build up some courage and confidence!
What made you decide I was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session? I looked at the websites of several photographers in the Central Pa area. The photos on your website showed women who looked relaxed and confident – and beautiful! It was clear from your website galleries that you were technically proficient and could also make people feel at ease in the process. I also liked that you specifically market to women of all sizes and encourage women to own their beauty no matter what their body shape or size.

What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? Oh my, that’s a tough question! I think I’d have to say the reveal. It was fun to celebrate the whole process by getting to see the images set to music on a big screen! And I loved having the option to invite my husband along – we both had a blast.
What did you think when you saw that first image of yourself? Whoa – that’s me!!!!!

How did shooting this session with me change your outlook on yourself? Are you more confident? Oh yes, I have definitely integrated much more confidence and am reveling my how awesome my body is. Not just the outside appearance, but the energy, power, and self-confidence I can exude.
Were you surprised at how much fun you had planning your session, shooting your session, and seeing your images? As we started pinning on the Pinterest board, I got the sense that this was going to be a fun and creative process. So it didn’t surprise me when it just kept being fun! I think the next one will be even more fun! 😉
Why should other women do a boudoir session with me? Because you are not only a technically proficient photographer, you are a fantastic woman. You “get” women intuitively and can help each woman make their photo shoot their own expression of their beauty and radiance.
