The majority of my female clients are boudoir clients, which usually means the session is a surprise to their significant other, so rarely do I photograph men.
The woman in these pictures booked her boudoir session and then asked me to take a few photographs of her and her husband together in their wedding attire—they are newlyweds!
So the morning of her boudoir session, he arrived just as we were finishing her hair/makeup so I could take a few portraits of them together, then once we were done, he left so I could shoot the boudoir portion.
He came/left thinking it was JUST for the wedding portraits—he has no idea about the boudoir portion, which will be a Christmas gift.
Although I don’t shoot men often, this is something that’s always an option to all of my clients, to have your boyfriend/husband, son(s) come either at the beginning of the session (right after hair/makeup is finished) or toward the end of the session (this just avoids the men-folk from being bored and grumpy) so I can take beautiful portraits of you with the men you love.
I encourage you to contact me today to schedule your complimentary consult so we can discuss how you envision your own session.
A big thank you to the talented Nath Mao for styling Mrs. Walker’s hair and doing her makeup!
Until next time,
Shannon

Your very thoughtful not to make the guys hang around. They do get grumpy don’t they? I had not known that you did this bit of extra with your clients. I think it is a wonderful (and sneaky fun) way to include him in her session.
The guys show up, take a few pictures, then are on their way! All is happy.
