I’d like to introduce you to René.
René writes a blog, “Black Girl, Lost Keys“—what makes her blog unique? Her blog is dedicated to exploring the challenges a person of color with ADHD faces navigating the world. Per her Facebook page, “Mental health is still taboo in our society, but especially within the black community. Black Girl, Lost Keys seeks to bring education and humor to some serious topics, and promote unity for ALL people, regardless of race or mental health diagnosis.”
René booked a session with me because she wanted to update her website with a professional photo of herself. With the fun spirit she has, I knew the dress I selected for her had to be fun and bright, too!
I hit the nail on the head with this fun pink number! And look how amazing she looks in it! She OWNED that dress that day!
I’d also like to point out the Power of Posing strikes again. Do you see how, when compared to the “Before” shot, clothing and especially posing makes a difference in how you look in pictures?
René was ALL about taking selfies throughout the morning—I photobombed this one!
So I decided we had to have a little bit of fun and incorporate her “taking a selfie” during her session—take a look at the image below and you can see her face on her phone!
If you’ve been following me for a bit online or if you’re one of my past clients, then you’ll know I have a “Signature Necklace” that is all bling-bling. I was getting ready to put the necklace on René when I realized she HAD to wear as a hair piece! AH!
Look how elegant she is wearing it. <3
